Ascom A0100038001 IP38 VoIP Gateway (FXO)

The IP38 Analog VoIP Gateway (FXO) is equipped with 8 analog FXO interfaces and is therefore primarily intended to be used as an analog – VoIP media gateway.

It’s intended for installations where connections to analog extension or trunk lines exist. The IP38 converts these analog lines into VoIP lines thus creating the conditions needed for modern IP telephony and an excellent, cost efficient migration path for many deployments.

IP38 Key Features

  • Built-in PBX (Optional and licensed feature) for up to 50 registrations
  • Can be stacked to form larger systems and combined with IP6010, utilizing same license
  • Power over Ethernet, PoE (802.3af, Class 1) or external power supply
  • H.323v5 or SIPv2 over UDP, TCP, TLS, SIPS, RTP, SRTP, RTCP, T.38 (Fax)
  • G.711 A-law / μ-law, G.729AB, VAD (Voice Activity Detection), CNG (Comfort Noise Generation), Dynamic Jitter Buffering, Echo Compensation: G.168, Modem support
  • Can be combined with IP6010 and perfect as a breakout gateway in distributed or Small Office Home Office, SOHO installations

The IP38 can operate as a gateway and as a PBX in smaller installations with up to 50x VoIP devices per IP38. For larger installations additional IP38 can be stacked to provide performance and functionality for more than 8x analog PBX connections and more than 50x VoIP devices using the built-in PBX.
